Small Groups Jesus said, “Where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:20). Lives are formed and transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study, to engage in fellowship, or to work on a specific task. Ministry Goals - Form a new small groups ministry to help our church relate to each other and our neighbors beyond the constraints of Sunday morning worship.
- To raise up a team of small group leaders.
- To offer different varieties of small groups so that people can easily get involved.
There are a few small groups, but they have sprouted up from people who had the passion to simply make one on their own. We want to form a new ministry from the ground up and offer our congregation the chance to meet in groups to study, pray, encourage, and live life together. Starting new means starting with a group of leaders and getting the needed training so that the initial small groups can be successful. Leaders will function as the point person of their small group and periodically report to the Small Groups Ministry Leader. Leaders will work with groups to choose curriculums, activities, or discussions that interest them. Small groups will really help us bring a new buzz and a new opportunity in the life of our congregation. This would be a great way to get involved if you enjoy helping others discover and explore their faith.
