CONNECT TO CHRIST. GROW IN FAITH TOGETHER.

Worship Times 9am 10:15am (education hour) 11:11am

Worship Ministries

This ministry encompasses nearly all that we do on Sunday morning. From the moment the first chair is lifted from our truck till you hear the final ‘amen,’ worship is happening. Worship is being constructed, performed, prayed, taught, served, given, seen, heard, and felt through all who are in the presence of God. This is the kind of culture we try to create every Sunday.

Ministry Goals

  • To assist the congregation in personal and corporate worship.
  • To help them connect to God.
  • To offer an avenue for people with a talent/desire/offering to serve both God and the church.
  • To creatively tell the message of Jesus through song, word, prayer, and deed.

The worship ministry is broken down into several teams:

  • Music Team: band, vocalists
  • Tech Team: sound, computer, digital media
  • Set-up Team: set up, tear down, worship coordinators, truck drivers
  • Worship Assistants: altar care, ushers, prayer ministers, communion assistants

Each team offers their own unique way of bringing worship to the congregation. The time and commitment levels of each worship team varies from team to team. Anyone interested in helping others seek God on a Sunday morning can find a place to serve on one of these teams. We are more than willing to provide training where it is needed and we are also always looking for people already in the ministry to take on a leadership role.

Leader Roles

Music Team Leaders: This is an area we are looking to expand in the near future. Leaders are responsible for running worship rehearsals and Sunday morning music.

Worship Coordinators:  Responsibilities include coordinating set-up/tear-down and certain flow elements within the service (prayer requests, communion assistants, offering ushers, etc).

Altar Care Team: This team is responsible for preparing Holy Communion and preparing the altar.

People of all ages and backgrounds and talent levels can get involved in God’s movement on Sunday mornings. One of the best ways to worship is to serve and we have many opportunities for anyone that is interested.

If you would like to learn more about getting involved in our worship ministries contact Tyler Hughes tyler@livingspiritlutheran.com or Brian Hall bhall@nicor.com or contact the church office.
